Original 1920's Robbins and Myers 3 speed oscillating Electric Fan Model 3804. Refurbished.
The Brass fan blade measures 12 inches across and is highly polished and balanced, The steel cage measures 13 inches across and is piano black. Overall height is 17 1/2 inches tall. The base measures 8 inches and has the "OFF, 1,2,3" in white letters and numbers. Clear coated over the top of them. Oil cups are polished steel. Front badge is brass. Bass has green felt added to protect furniture. Cord is new "Old Style" cloth. Top Id plate is brass with black paint.
The fan weighs 19.5 Lbs. The shipping weight with packaging will be 25 Lbs.
This fan has been completely disassembled and all original finish was glass blasted to remove and a new automotive grade piano black with clear coat applied over all surfaces.
All wiring was inspected or replaced. All internal motor components were coated to protect the windings. All Bearing, oil cups were solvent cleaned and new oil wicks added. Every part of this fan was cleaned and lubricated. This is a three speed fan and all speeds were tested at 24 hours of continuous service. There are only a few ohms different from one speed and the other so speed changes a slight between each of them. This fan runs smooth as engineered by the Robbins And Myer Co.
The agitator has an adjustment knob on the side to move the arm inward and outward to adjust the "swing" of the fan. The head can be rotated to sit on table or be mounted to wall.
Small screws above each bearing are removed to oil. Only a few drops per year are required. DO NOT OVER OIL. Keep this fan up and away from children and pets.
I have refurbished hundreds of fans over the years with many happy customers. Please read my reviews. Please feel free to contact me if you have further questions. Thank you for viewing. TGerard Restoration.
